“I am so happy you could all come to celebrate my birthday” Nagisa said gleefully. “We wouldn’t miss it for the world” Makoto said wiping a patch of soot from his face. “We’re sorry we hadn’t time to change from out work clothes” Rin said. “It’s ok Rin-chan” Nagisa said.

“Where’s Rei?” Haruka asked looking around for their lab coat clad friend. As if on cue a taxi came. Nagisa knew immediately who was inside it, He ran up to Rei who was busy paying the taxi driver and jumped on him, giving him a big hug. “Nagisa-kun how many times have I told you not to jump on me like that. I could hurt my back” Rei said. “Sorry Rei-chan it’s just that I’ve missed you so much” Nagisa said.  "Now that everyone’s here how about we eat some cake before opening the presents" Makoto said.

Nagisa rain up to the table where a red velvet cake decorated with penguins resided. “Wow Haru-chan your cake looks delicious” he said. “Thanks” Haruka said. Nagisa blew out the candles and made a wish.

“Ah…Nagisa-kun before you open your gifts…I need to ask you something” Rei siad rummaging through the pocket of his labcoat. He stood on one knee in front of him. >“Nagisa-kun there is nothing more in this world I want to do than spend the rest of my life with you…so will you marry me?” he asked pulling out a golden engagement ring from his pocket. Nagisa hugged him and nodded like crazy. “Yes…I’d love to Rei-chan” he said as the others smiled and congratullaed them on their engagement.

This was exactly what Nagisa wished for when he blew out the candles.
