My Open Letter to Tumblr’s CEO and Staff
This is my latest YouTube video. Please reblog this and spread this like wildfire please.

Did the Studio Killers #DirtyCarChallenge with my online mascot. His name is Author and he is a small ghost who likes to write. He is very grateful that Cherry offered him a ride home despite that he can literally fly. But Author isn’t the type to refuse a kind persons offer.
I know there’s a lot of tension after Tumblr’s new policy annouced for December 17th, but reblog this if you aren’t leaving Tumblr so that other blogs can know they aren’t going to be completely alone!

Ok so this post is extremely long and I put it all together for my blogs Feeling sad page but as I don’t have a huge amount of followers I realize so many people are not seeing this information so I’m posting it here too!
alternatives without harming yourself:
- holding/squeezing ice.
- splashing your face with water.
- getting a rubber band and snapping it against your skin (this could hurt, though it’s better than other ways that people usually choose to self-harm).
- take a hot shower or bath.
- eat something sour. it will take your mind of the urge. (lemon, sour lollies)
- massage where you want to self-harm.
- get a red pen or red paint and draw/paint over where you usually self-harm.
- remind yourself as to why you shouldn’t do it. (scars, harms organs, leave memories etc…)
- describe what you are feeling. (is the urge/pain in your chest, fists, legs, arms, head).
killing yourself will not help. it is not a solution.
you have your whole life ahead of you. you have so many more years that you can accomplish things in.
for example;
- having a family.
- getting married.
- to watch the sun rise.
- to watch the sun set.
- to save someone else’s life.
- finish school.
- get your dream job.
- to laugh.
- to smile.
- to go camping.
- travel to new places.
- to wake up every morning to the person you love.
- friends.
- family.
- to keep that promise you made.
- to accomplish a goal.
- to meet your idol.
- to listen to new music.
- theme parks.
- video games.
- chocolate.
- to be able to look back and say “i made it”.
what you’re going through is temporary.
in case you need to hear this:
- you are loved.
- you are wanted.
- you are needed.
- you are beautiful.
- you are handsome.
- you are important.
- you are not alone.
- you are okay.
- you are strong.
- you are worth it.
- you are smart.
- you are not a failure.
- you are useful.
- you are going to be okay.

God, if only I had this sooner
I know there’s a lot of tension after Tumblr’s new policy annouced for December 17th, but reblog this if you aren’t leaving Tumblr so that other blogs can know they aren’t going to be completely alone!
This is a reminder to:
- Eat
- Drink water
- Shower
- Sleep
- Relax stress points
- Take a deep breath
- Cry, if you need to
- Have a conversation with someone, even if it’s just small talk
- Tidy your work space, I find it helps with being productive
- Make a list of things to do (it helps me when I’m overwhelmed with tasks)
- If you’re working a lot, take a break
- Go to the bathroom
- Brush your teeth
- Wash your face/clean your skin
- Eat something healthy
- Stretch
- Go outside
- Brush your hair
Remember that you are loved and someone cares about you, I promise you. I care. And if you feel like you need to talk to someone, you can message me
From someone who’s survived MySpace, livejournal, deviantart, and fanfiction.nets’ content purges and bad policy updates, here’s some advice on how to get through tumblr’s recent bullshit:
– don’t knee jerk delete. I know it’s tempting to peace out immediately but hang on and do the other steps first. Out right ghosting and erasing everything is how fandoms die.
– archive everything on your blog you want to keep
– tell your followers how they can archive and keep your work too. A lot of fic and art were only saved from ff.net and lj because other people saved it first. If you’re cool with other people saving your work for them to personally keep, let them know this. You can absolutely discourage reposting but I really do highly recommend you allow people to personally save fic and art they like and are worried will disappear forever. Digital Dark Ages are a real thing.
– tell people where you’re jumping ship to. Give links. Keep that info up, even if you’ve left the site.
– go through who you follow and find out where else you can follow them. Save their work if they’ll allow it. It’s tedious as hell but if you want to keep up with people on here clicking on their page to check in is the best way to do it.
– support places like ao3. This is exactly why ao3 asks for donations a few times a year. They are a 100% anti-purging, judgement free, ad free non profit run by an elected board and protected by lawyers. Places like ao3 literally save fandom so please continue to support them and other similar archives. This is exactly why ao3 is so important.
So apparently according to many people Tumblr will die on December 17th so here are my other social platforms as a reminder
