I watched Fantastic Beasts on my flight back to the US and I was really shocked by how much I liked it!? (because I did not enjoy the other HP films at all)

I really really like Newt Scamander as a character, p much for every reason this video essay points out. It’s so refreshing to see a male leading character that doesn’t embody any of the male bravado that Hollywood defines as appealing/attractive, and to see empathy FINALLY portrayed as a strength in men.

Newt Scamander is such a Hufflepuff hunk
