Emu is a trans FtM. His birth name before transitioning was Sakura Hojo.
Kiriya noticed that Emu used ace bandages to bind his chest which terrified him to no end. He understood the damage they could do when he saw Emu struggling to breathe.
Upon discovering this Kiriya promptly took Emu out to shop for some real binders. He paid for it with his own money
Kiriya is bisexual.
Kiriya ALWAYS uses the right pronouns when talking to or about Emu. But Emu will correct him if he uses the wrong pronouns by accident.
Emu doesn’t have enough money for finishing his transition. Kiriya insists to pay for it but Emu politely declines as he wants to save money himself. He however has a hard time saving money because of all the new video game releases.
Emu’s male name is actually derived from the first letter of Mighty the mascot for Mighty Action X.
Kiriya is very protective and won’t hesitate to punch someone if they give Emu a hard time.
When he met Lucky of the Kyurangers Lucky was first confused about Emu’s identity so Emu had to explain it to him. Three times.
