Okay it’s really embarrassing that this has to be said but apparently it does so here goes

There are so many incredible people in this fandom. So many diverse views, intense conversations, and a depth of thought that is really admirable. So many incredible content creators have blessed our screens and we’re forever grateful to them

Unfortunately, the actions of a few are ruining the experience for the majority. The few who clung to the leaks for selfish reasons. The people personally going after the people behind MAKING the show. Those who attack people (either directly or through broad statements/posts) for having opposing views/headcanons/ships from their own

Guys, don’t let this ugliness define us as a fandom. For one it’s sad to see this behavior from people who surely live in the real world, and thus know how to get along with people of different views (or so one would hope). But on the whole, it’s scary to think that all the good in this fandom can so easily be overlooked because of the few but poignant moments of nastiness – and that we may all be subject to the consequences of the actions of a few

Leave the actors/crew alone. Be civil to each other. Stop and consider how your actions will affect others. Or else we’re going to be left with a show that died a premature death, a smoldering husk of a fandom, and all people will remember is that “Voltron was a good show but the fandom killed it”
