exceed-charge:

Okay it’s time to talk about this guy.

1. They originally wanted to call it Machine Drive since it’s just a combination of Mashin Drive and Chaser.

2. Higherups decided to call it Super Deadheat instead as that’s a sound in the Driver and they wanted to sell toys.

So it goes like this. Tomari was using Chase’s Mach Driver, which was obviously tuned for Chase’s use despite originally being a test copy of Gou’s. (Which reminds me Rinna needed Mashin Chaser to make signal chaser and Kiriko would have no equivalent to that and Rinna would have to stay up for nights making that shit alone if at all.) The last thing in the driver was Chase’s signal bike, which was actually made using a piece of Mashin Chaser’s armour, since they needed a piece of evolved Roidmude for study at the time. The Tridoron Key was itself a prototype of a shift car, possibly a beta version of type speed, and what was probably used as a base to make Proto-Drive’s black shift car. So, the key was an incomplete shift car, so in order to function it filled the blanks using the last known data in the drive, the Signal Chaser, that’s why it registered as a signal bike/shift car combo, and since the data was based on Mashin Chaser, it recreated his original base. Hence, Super Deadheat looking like a Mashin Drive.

I like this idea
