This is our dog.
Her name is Saskia.
Now my uncle adopted her from a shelter in St.Petersburg.He had her with him for a while so she could get used to humans. Now from what I heard she never had it easy before she came to live with me and my grandparents.
Now from what I’ve heard Saskia and her siblings were left under a bridge as puppies to die from either starvation or the cold. Then someone must’ve picked her up and brought her home but we suspect her previous owner had not been very kind to her. Because when he came to us she was very thin (we could see her hipbones poke through) and when I raised my hand to wave at the neighbour she got very jumpy and scared. So we suspect that her previous owner had hit her. With what we are not certain. But now that she has been with us for a while she has not been as jumpy and scared anymore.
But one thing is certaiin. She is the most kind and loyal dog ever. Everytime we have visitors she walks up to them and want to be pet and wants to lick their faces.
Why have I decided to share this story?
Because dogs (and animals in general) are living breathing creatures. They deserve all the love they get and we as human beings need to cherish our four legged companions. So please cherish your dog. They are your loyal friend to the end.
