Ok there’s actually a reasonable explanation for this. I was experimenting with wet felting prefelted wool around three dimensional forms, and needed a spiky shape to test it on. Sentinel was handy, his helmet was an interesting shape, and I have like three of him anyway, so he got to be the guinea pig. He’s not happy to be furthering science.

By the way, if any air plant experts are reading this, don’t freak out about the ones on the damp dirt in the background. They were only there for a few minutes, then I moved them. They’ve been in a little basket while I find suitable containers, but today I noticed the basket had grown mold (!) but I still wanted the plants as filler in the background so I just put them on the dirt.
